Layaguruthvam's Second concert (originally this was suppose to be the first) was held for a privaste wedding reception in Chennai on the 28th Oct'06 and the team with a good audio of Karthik Audio presented a great concert. It was very unusual to see a full house of an auditorium in a wedding reception to be listening to a concert with this rapt attention for almost 60 - 80 mts after which only people started moving to the dinner table.

The success story is established with fact that a good number of visitors had dinner with the team of young vidwans who performed a good concert with Mrudhangam Maestro Kalaimamani leading them so gracefully and successfully.

The team lead by Sri Guruvayur Dorai with Tanjore K Praveenkumar _ Mrudhangam, Anirudh Athreya - Kanjeera, Harihara Subramaniam - Ghatam, Sathyanarayanan - Keyboard, Jaikrishnan - Vocal, Srithi Sagar - Flute and Vijay - Violin, is sure to go places with their sincere dedication and devotion in presentation.

Mrudhangam Maestro Kalaimamani Sri Guruvayur Durai Fascinating other sides - LAYAGURUTHVAM

It was indeed a great day for the seven children and the parents of "LayaGuruthvam" a music ensemble group formed by Mrudhangam Maestro Kalaimamani "Sri Guruvayur Dorai" avl. Yes the first programme of this young and energetic group was held at "Mahalakshmi Boutique" for the birthday celebration of Smt Bhavani, mother of Sri N Balasubramaniam, Partner M/s T S Mahalingam - a leading car dealer and a great patron of carnatic music in particular.

The group consists of Jai Krishnan on vocal, Sathyanarayanan - Keyboard, Sruthisagar - Flute, Vijay - Violin, Tanjore K Praveenkumar on Mrudhangam, Hariharasubramaniam - Ghatam and Anirudh Athreya on Kanjeera.

The interesting and fascinating aspect is that the composition of BGM by Sri Dorai avl, which in this music ensemble adds value to each and every song performed. The idea of this presentation of Sri Guruvayur Durai is to present Carnatc krithis in a fusion form without disturbing the values of each and every traditional aspect of the krithi. Every one present had the great oppurtunity to see the other sides of Sri Guruvayur Dorai - as a singer and also a great Team leader.

Each and every one praised the effort of the Guru and also the children for their wonderful performance and couple of good offers for this Laya Guruthvam presentation in good forums has already been made to Sri Guruvayur Dorai avl.

Smt Kunnakudy Bala the co-organiser of the concert was all praise for the team and had made a good PA system arrangements at the venue. The young vidhwans left the venue with a great feeling of having performed under the great Mrudhangam Mestro, which is the right start for their Diwali celebrations.
